Board Vacancy Announcement
This announcement shall serve to notify the public that the Willow Creek Community Services District has a vacancy on the five member Board of Directors. We also want to thank Judy Gower for the 20 years she has spent on the WCCSD Board.
Appointment
Pursuant to Title 1, Division 4, section 1780 of the California Government code, the Board of Directors will fill the position by appointment with a vote by the remaining four members of the Board of Directors. The Board is scheduled to vote on the appointment at the October board meeting which is scheduled for:

Terms
Pursuant to Title 6, Division 3, of the California Government code, the term of office of each member of the board is four years. The person appointed to fill the vacancy shall fill the balance of the unexpired term of office. Board member Judy Gower was voted into office in November 2020, therefore the person appointed will be up for vote in November 2024.
No person shall be a candidate for the board of directors unless he or she is a voter of the District. After appointment, the person shall file paperwork with the Humboldt County Offices of Elections, which is the agency that confirms a person can serve as a director. They will also be required to file a 700 form (statement of economic interests) on a yearly basis.
Interested Persons
Interested persons to fill the vacancy must submit a letter to the District office stating your interest to be appointed to the Board. Please state why you would like to serve on the Board and what qualities you have that will make you a good board member. Please either:
- Mail to the District at PO Box 8, Willow Creek, CA 95573
- Drop off your interest letter at the District office, 135 Willow Rd.
Please have interest letters to the District by 4:30 pm on Thursday October 19th
