The Willow Creek Community Services District is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a Recreation and Water Department Temp. This is a seasonal position, generally from mid April to Mid October. Employee may be hired as a fulltime water trainee in the fall depending on job performance.
The Recreation and Water Temp will report directly to the General Manager. Job duties will include, but are not limited to reading water meters, working on leak repair projects, as well as completing park maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, week whacking, raking and collecting leaves, bathroom cleaning and trash collection.
Education & Drivers License: High School Diploma or GED. A California driver’s license is required. The District may ask for a copy of your driving record. A State of California Water Treatment T2 license and Distribution D1 license is desired but not required. If employee is hired as a fulltime water trainee in the fall, you will be trained and expected to take license exams as soon as possible.
Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to work sitting, standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling and carry items (regularly up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs., and infrequently up to 100 lbs.) Ability to climb stairs and ladders, kneel, stoop, bend, and squat. Must have use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. Ability to drive a vehicle and have close and distance vision (glasses ok).
Benefits: The Recreation and Water Temp will be provided with sick leave as required by the State of California for part time employees.
Future possible benefits as a full time employee: The Willow Creek CSD provides medical, dental and vision insurance to all full time employees and their dependents. CalPERS retirement is also provided, with a 7.75% employee contribution. The District offers 12 paid holidays and one sick day per month to full time employees. After one year of employment, fulltime employees receive one week of vacation.
Pay: The Rec and Water Temp will be hired at a starting pay of $17.00 per hour. Pay will be re-assessed every year. Pay is negotiable with water treatment and distribution experience and licenses.
Anticipated Start Date: The job is anticipated to start immediately.
